Not sure how we survived...

Without a chick-fila! There is finally a place to get chicken in Clemson! (that is a joke people, check back for info on our first annual "chicken crawl" in November)

If you haven't been in this area lately, you may not have heard the BIG NEWS. That is right, we now have a Chick-fila. This rivals the opening of our Starbucks and the DunkinDonuts. The traffic has been crazy, but we planned to go last night after swim lessons. The kids loved the play area, especially Andy. He is so fun these days.

James is so excited, he is jumping up and down.

How did they get up there?

And then, you got to eat. Andy eating his fries.

James loves his juice box. His meal and fast food restaurants is "chicken nuggets, fries, and a JUICE BOX!"

A (happy) change of plans

Last weekend we headed to Charleston, but a change of plans left us with some free time. What to do, what to do? We headed to the Low Country Children's Museum for a feature of PIRATES (ARGH!). James loves pirates (ARGH!).

Here is Andy with some pirate treasure (ARGH!)

James on the pirate ship (ARGH!)

They also had a great little toddler area that my little climber just loved...if I could only get him to walk!

Photobucket

Don't let this picture fool you, Andy was having a great time!

Photobucket

There was also a castle, and James dressed up as a dragon to make Andy laugh.

Photobucket

That is all the pictures I have. The kids were enjoying it so much, you just had to put the camera down and enjoy it. They both threw fits and were screaming when we left. Can't wait for the Greenville on to open!

St Simons 2009

**Warning lots of pictures**

We went to St. Simons, GA this year for our beach vacation. James was so excited. He has been talking about going to the beach since last year.

Andy, not so much. He hates the car ride. Can't wait till he is into the DVD player.

Photobucket

Really, nothing to do with the beach, but I kid you not, James was eating the pepper off of his finger!
Photobucket

On the way to the beach. You can see that the weather doesn't look perfect, but it was. Cool, not too sunny...we did get some rain, but so worth it.

Andy the sand eater.

Andy also loved to climb into the chair, then out, then back in, then out. If you got up for some reason, Andy would take over!

Lake time!

Papa has recently retired. This opens up a whole new time to spend at the lake.

Andy is a little young for all this. He hates the life jacket.

Photobucket

We invited James's BFF John.

Photobucket

When James drives, we go "fast, fast, fast!"

Photobucket

All the kids on the beach.

Andy playing in the sand.

Photobucket

Ok, now he is swimming. No, he is just crawling. He doesn't care how deep the water is. This kid is CRAZY!

Photobucket

A view down the beach. In the background, is a "James attack!"

Photobucket

While we were on the beach, a BIG boat went by with a DIGGER on it. I KNOW. HOW COOL IS THAT?

Hey! Hey! CSA!

I joined the Clemson CSA this summer. That stands for "community supported agriculture". For $300, I get a weekly pick up of fresh, organic fruits and vegtables for 15 weeks. Actually, I spilt this share with my neighbor, so it is only $150, but spliting it works out well with traveling, etc. This was our pick up last Wednesday.

The pick up is at the same time as the farmers market: Wednesdays from 3:30-6:30pm. It is located at the "barn with the inverted roof". The purpose of this roof is to collect rain water. Pretty smart, eh?

This is what is offered at the farmers market:

I thought this would be a fun thing to take the kids to. It's not. The highlight for James is getting a little cup of water.

Photobucket

Andy is pretty cranky all the time. He has no highlight.

Here is this weeks haul in a bag:

Here is the haul all laid out. It was a good week!

Look at all that corn. Soon. Soon!

A New Era

We did it. We dropped our home phone. We are now a wireless family! If you don't have our new cell phone numbers, let me know...
